The F*ck You Price Method: Creating Offers That Get People Talking

A book on price anchoring: set one offer 20x or 50x above your standard prices, and everything else you sell is judged against it.

What does the book mean by a F*ck You price?

It is an offer priced far above everything else you sell, which you do not expect to sell, so that your standard offer reads as good value beside it.

The “F#ck You Price” Method is where you create an expensive offer that you don’t actually intend to sell. This price anchoring strategy involves listing an item or service priced 20x or 50x higher than your standard offerings. Its presence alone redefines the perceived value of everything else.

Tradespeople use the same phrase for a quote set high to turn a job away. The book uses it for a top offer that sets the scale for everything below it. Read the full definition.
